Visions of Mana, the first mainline entry in Square Enix’s long running Mana JRPG series since 2006, was supposedly set to come to Xbox Game Pass according to Xbox’s official website. Unfortunately, a Microsoft spokesman speaking to Eurogamer recently clarified that this was listed in error.
The game made an appearance at 2024’s Xbox Developer Direct earlier this month, with new gameplay footage showcased and an official Summer 2024 release window confirmed for the title. Visions of Mana also marks the first time a Mana series title will appear on Microsoft’s Xbox platform.
Visions of Mana features a semi-open world where players will play as Val who hails from the Fire Village of Tianeea. A Faerie visits Val’s village as part of a quadrennial festival to choose people fated to visit the Tree of Mana. The Faerie selects Val’s childhood friend and Val must accompany her to the Tree of Mana as her soul guard..
Visions of Mana will release on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this summer.
