Sea of Thieves is headed to PlayStation 5 on April 30th, and the team has a new PS5 trailer and a rundown of all the options, including some PS5 exclusives.
The release is part of Microsoft’s deal to release a few more first-party titles to additional platforms. Sea of Thieves on PlayStation 5 will let you have a choice of which platform you play on. Microsoft is scaling up their server infrastructure for the larger player pool, whether they want to play across platforms or not. There is cross-play, but you can turn that off if you’d like PlayStation-only waters.
