In China AMD is struggling to keep the situation under control with its RX 6750 GRE. Clearly, the card is selling like hotcakes, thanks in particular to its excellent price/performance ratio. But also thanks to prices that are tending to fall!
AMD is offering this card in 10 and 12 GB versions. This model comes with two different GPU configurations:
10 GB: 2304 stream processors, 10 GB VRAM on a 160-bit bus, 320 GB/s memory bandwidth and 2450 MHz boost frequency
12 GB: 2,560 stream processors, 12 GB VRAM on a 192-bit bus, 432 GB/s memory bandwidth and 2,581 MHz boost frequency
The MSRP was 2,219 yuan ($312) for the 10GB, versus 2,379 yuan ($335) for the 12GB. However, with all the hype and competition, prices are starting to come down, with 12GB models available for $315. At this price, NVIDIA simply can’t compete: its RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti are outclassed in terms of performance. The same goes for memory, despite the presence of a 3-year-old GPU.
AMD is even trying to implement strict price-control policies to prevent price volatility. In the meantime, given the success of the card.
