This first siege happened over a period of three days, and altogether, happened on 10 servers. There were more than 1,000 participating guilds, with a total of over 15,000 players. While each of these 10 servers had participants, the battle played out differently on different servers. One guild on the Asoda server had 162 kills. Another server had 15 attempts to seize the castle, making for a fierce competition over those three days.
Many of the teams involved were using siege golems, which NCSoft also showed off recently. There are four of these golems, each with their own specialties, strengths, and weaknesses. The siege video just shows how useful they’re going to be and points to the importance of learning how to transform, or at least support players who are transformed, effectively.
At this point in the video, we see some of the tactics people used, as well as some hints if you also want to participate. adding pressure on a respawn point is a classic move, but it could buy you your team some valuable time.
Throne and Liberty’s next siege is set to begin next Sunday, February 18th.
