A new range of M.2 NVMe SSDs designed for the mid-range market. These SSDs are built in the “M.2-2280” format and use the PCI Express 4.0 x4 interface. The series includes three models based on storage capacities: 500 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB.
Sequential read speeds of up to 7,400 MB/s are available on all models. Sequential write speeds vary by model.
They break down as follows:
Up to 6,200 MB/s for the 500 GB version
Up to 6,300 MB/s for the 1TB version
Up to 6,500 MB/s for the 2TB version.
In terms of random read and write operations, the 500 GB and 1 TB models can perform up to 670,000 and 980,000 IOPS respectively. The 2TB model achieves up to 700,000 read IOPS and 1 million write IOPS.
The CRAS C925 uses a MaxioTech MAP1602 DRAMless controller combined with 3D TLC NAND flash memory. They are optimized for compact configurations, with all components mounted on one side of the PCB. Each drive comes with an aluminum heatsink. Thermal performance is improved by 12%. They are also compatible with standard motherboard heatsinks.
KLEVV offers substantial write endurance values:
600 TBW for the 500 GB model
1,200 TBW for the 1 TB model
2,400 TBW for the 2 TB model.
These discs are covered by a five-year warranty. Availability is expected to begin in May 2024, although pricing details have not been disclosed.
