The famous monitoring software, HWiNFO64, has been released in a new beta version. This new version lays the foundations for the software’s future OSD, while abandoning support for Windows XP.
The v7.73-5370 beta version of the software provides its own system, so there’s no need to go through yet another utility like RivaTuner Statistics Server, for example.
It’s tricky to set up, since to take advantage of it, you need to launch the software from a secure Program Files folder, and the software is only available as a portable version, not as an installer. The best solution, therefore, is to use an installer version of the software and copy the beta executable into the installation folder and launch it from there.
This feature needs a bit of work, but it lays the groundwork. The free version of the software allows you to display just five custom values and corresponding real-time graphs, whereas the pro version offers unlimited values.
