AFK Journey, the sequel to AFK Arena, is out now on PC and mobile, taking us back to the world of Esperia in a new free to play fantasy RPG.
The live-service game is out now, from Farlight Games, with full cross-platform support and planned updates on the way. The team expands upon AFK Arena with a few new additions, including turning Esperia into a full world to explore, a new refreshed art style they call “live canvas”, and fully-voiced cutscenes.
The combat system has new abilities, with additions like added traps and timed moves for those active combat moments.
Since this is a cross platform, live service title, you can start on one platform, take it on the go on mobile, and continue on PC, with your in between idle time counting towards progression. Characters will progress and level up, earning you additional rewards with the item mechanics.
The AFK Journey team plans to release updates roughly every quarter, with the first one aimed for a May release.
