While Call of Duty has been available on mobile for some time, the Warzone Mobile launch is notable for a few key reasons. For one, it’s brought back the fan favorite map, Verdansk, which hasn’t been available on PC or console since 2021. It also has a higher player count at 120 players (up from Warzone 2’s 100, but down from the original Warzone’s 150).
Warzone Mobile is also a cohesive experience with the PC and console versions, offering cross-progression with Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone.
The game launched with two battle royale maps, the aforementioned Verdansk and Rebirth Island, which is designed for a smaller scale experience at 48 players. For those who prefer more standard Call of Duty multiplayer, maps such as Shoot House and the chaotic Shipment are available, too. The team intends to expand the map pool with Rust in April.
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is available now on iOS and Android.
