ViewSonic has recently unveiled its innovative gaming monitor, the XG323-4K-OLED2, in the Chinese market. This cutting-edge device combines dual-mode functionality, offering both 4K resolution at 240 Hz and 1080p resolution at an astounding 480 Hz. Notably, it features advanced DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity, making it a standout in the realm of gaming monitors.
Outstanding Display Features
The XG323-4K-OLED2 is equipped with a 31.5-inch LG OLED panel that boasts an anti-glare coating and delivers up to 450 nits of brightness, peaking at an impressive 1300 nits in HDR mode. The 10-bit OLED panel provides an ultra-fast 0.03 ms grey-to-grey response time and covers 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Additionally, it is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified and supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) through AMD FreeSync technology.
Design and Connectivity
Despite being marketed as a gaming monitor, the XG323-4K-OLED2 features a more traditional design with a square stand and a notably thicker display back. The base of the stand is unconventional, as it is not flat. Connectivity options include two DisplayPort 2.1 ports with full 80 Gbps UHBR20 support, a USB Type-C port with DisplayPort Alt-Mode and 140 W USB Power Delivery, two HDMI 2.1 inputs, one USB 3.2 Type-B input, three USB 2.0 outputs, and an audio jack.
Additional Features and Pricing
The monitor’s stand supports tilt, swivel, height adjustments, and rotation. It also includes a pair of 5 W speakers and a remote control for added convenience. Currently, the XG323-4K-OLED2 is listed on JD.com for RMB 10,999, which is approximately USD 1,500. It remains unclear whether ViewSonic plans to release this model in other markets.
