Unveiling Armoury Crate Special Edition 1.5: A Game-Changer for ROG Ally and Ally X

Introduction to Armoury Crate Special Edition 1.5

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has launched Armoury Crate Special Edition 1.5 (ACSE 1.5), a significant update to its control software. This release coincides with the debut of the ROG Ally X gaming handheld, which boasts an 80 Wh battery, upgraded joysticks, face buttons, and redesigned handgrips, enhancing the original ROG Ally in every aspect.

A Console-Like User Interface

ACSE 1.5 introduces a more intuitive, console-like user interface (UI), making it easier for gamers to navigate and customize their experience. The update includes new layouts such as list and horizontal views, offering various ways to display and arrange game titles. Additionally, a new light mode complements the existing dark mode, and the ‘My Favorites’ tab allows gamers to quickly access their most-played games.

Enhanced Game Profile Customization

One of the standout features of ACSE 1.5 is the enhanced customization of game profiles. Gamers can now create unique settings for each installed game, rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all solution. Settings like Radeon Super Resolution (RSR), AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF), and Radeon Anti-Lag can be enabled or disabled on a per-game basis. Users can also import and export their game profile settings, sharing them with the ROG Ally community.

Seamless Updates and Improved Features

ACSE 1.5 consolidates all updates, including BIOS and driver updates, into one location, offering a seamless experience for gamers. The software now supports gyroscope control inputs and features an adjustable TDP slider in manual mode. Additional tools for calibrating gyro and joystick sensitivity, along with more customization options for the real-time monitor tool, provide gamers with more control over their device’s performance.
