The latest update adds a new Hobby, Stunt Performer 2, new challenges, new Mad skills, and of course, new ways to drive.
The update goes live today, and after six years of content updates, The Crew 2 is headed into a maintenance mode that will rotate content according to a specific automation process. There will still be LIVE summits, themed weeks, and rewards, but content will simply be rotated and refreshed in mixes that are intended to keep things available from here on in. All of the vehicles you acquire, whether buying them, or unlocking them via other means, will remain available to you.
With the announced shutdown of the original The Crew, and The Crew 2 headed into this automation mode, it is clear that Ubisoft is striking a kind of balance between wanting players to move over to The Crew Motorfest and keeping something available for those who want to continue their journeys.
The new phase means that the HUB menu and PvP playlists will get auto-refreshed, themed bundles will rotate in the shop, and there will still be weekly community race recommendations. There will be one premium LIVE summit every two weeks, with older summits updated.
