There’s news from Sabrent with a new series of SSDs. The program includes the Rocket 4, a series of three models offering capacities of 1, 2 and 4 TB. For the moment, the price of the largest model is unknown.
The program includes a series of SSDs with capacities of 1TB, 2TB and 4TB (not yet launched). They come in M.2 2280 format and feature a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface.
For its internal configuration, the brand turns to a Phison controller with an E27T. As for memory, Toshiba’s 162-layer BiCS6 has been chosen. Of course, we’re talking about a 3D NAND TLC chip.
In terms of throughput, the company quotes sequential read speeds of 7.4 GB/s and sequential write speeds of 6.4 GB/s. As for random performance, we’re talking about 1 million IOPS for reading and 950k IOPS for writing. For the moment, we have no idea about its endurance!
On the price front, expect to pay $99.99 for the 1TB version, versus $199.99 for 2TB!
