Thermalright unveils a new heatsink with the Peerless Assassin 120 Mini. This new model is a variation on the classic version, but with one less fan to keep the footprint as small as possible.
This is a truly compact heatsink. It measures 125 (W) x 110 (D) x 145 (H) mm and weighs 820g. The heatsink has been slimmed down compared with the original version, which measured 125 (W) x 135 (D) x 157 (H) mm. What’s more, Thermalright is competing with Noctua’s NH-D12L, which shares similar dimensions!
To maximize memory compatibility, this model loses one fan, leaving only the middle grinder. The latter operates at up to 1,500 rpm, so you can expect something very quiet. As for the airflow, it generates 66.87 CFM, all at a pressure of 1.53 mmH2O.
The radiator features a nickel-plated copper base with a total of six 6 mm copper heat pipes. However, this base is not eccentric. Finally, in terms of socket compatibility, this heatsink will be installed on LGA-2000/1700/1200/115x and AMD AM4/5 platforms.
The selling price is not yet known, but when you know that the two-fan version is available for €36 on Amazon, that doesn’t scare us.
