We knew that Palworld sold over 8 million copies within 6 days. Though there wasn’t much of a platform breakdown there to showcase where the player counts were coming from. Given that Palworld launched on both PC via Steam and Xbox, as well as Xbox Game Pass, there was a question of just how many players were actually on each platform.
Palworld has now claimed over 19 million players since its launch across both platforms, with 12 million alone coming from Steam. Given that it’s only available for purchase on Steam, that’s quite a few copies sold through.
Seven million players hail from Xbox, though it’s unclear whether this also includes those using Xbox’s Game Pass Ultimate on PC, where Palworld is also available to download.
19 million players in less than a month is an insane number for a game that is still in Early Access. While no doubt part of the draw is the familiar creature collection aspect clearly inspired by Pokemon, Palworld is much more than just that, with deep survival mechanics and building, among others.
