This heatsink was indeed part of Noctua’s latest roadmap, and here it is, officially unveiled by the Austrian manufacturer. Let’s welcome the new NH-D12L chromax.black, a black version of the original NH-D12L.
The new NH-D12L chromax.black is a double-tower heatsink with compact dimensions. It measures 125 (W) x 113 (D) x 145 (H) mm. Weight is also limited to 890g with the NF-A12x25r chromax.black supplied.
The two stacks of aluminum fins are crossed by a total of five 6mm copper heat pipes. They meet at a nickel-plated copper base. To maximize RAM compatibility, the first fin stack is thinner than the second.
Ventilation is provided by a single NF-A12x25r PWM chromax.black. To keep dimensions to a minimum, the latter is available with a round rather than a square frame. It will operate at up to 2000 rpm at full speed, generating an airflow of 60.09 CFM, while static pressure totals 2.34 mmH2O. For the price, hang on.
