New Nightingale Roadmap Outlines Short and Medium Term Goals

Inflexion Games CEO Aaryn Flynn has released a new devblog on what we can expect from Nightingale’s dev team in the short term and a little further down the line. The survival crafting MMO entered Early Access almost three weeks ago, and the team has mentioned a few things they’re working on, but this is our clearest roadmap so far.

After thanking the community for an enthusiastic response to the launch, Flynn got down to what needs to be done.

“While we’re happy with some elements of our launch, we’re not satisfied with a number of others. These include network issues, confusing or missing features for core systems like crafting, and important updates to combat,” he wrote.

Taking priority in the short term are things that make sense to get right sooner rather than later. This includes their top priority: reduce connection issues. Following that, they’re looking to add a way to skip the tutorial, add auto storage stacking, and improve farming.

While the team did recently say they were going to prioritize an offline mode, that is mentioned in the new roadmap as a medium term feature. The rest of the list gives us a peek at progress on Nightingale and where things are going. Just like auto storage stacking, they’re working on the ability to craft from storage and to queue crafting.

Other stuff in the works is along the lines of normal development on a just launched title. This means questline updates, improvements to enemy AI, more NPC functionalist, new building components, and even new projectile weapons.
