With Chrono Odyssey also set for release next year, and Path of Exile 2 in 2024, according to new financial reports.
Q1 was mixed for Kakao, with operating profit up 8.1% for the quarter year over year, but down from the previous quarter. Net income in Q1 year over year was down a whopping 91.1%, but the report lists QoQ result as “turn to profit”.
Kakao has several MMORPGs set for 2025, with original IP title Project Q and Ares: Rise of Guardians both headed for global PC/console releases. A similar cross-platform release is also set for both Chrono Odyssey and ArcheAge 2.
With the original ArcheAge set to close in North America and Europe in June, having the sequel, which will work to feel both familiar and different, back on track should give fans something to look forward to.
