Unveiling the LG MyView Smart Monitor
LG Electronics (LG) is set to revolutionize the market with the launch of its latest innovation, the LG MyView Smart Monitor (model 34SR65QC). This 34-inch curved monitor features a 21:9 aspect ratio ultrawide screen, designed to enhance productivity and entertainment experiences. The LG MyView Smart Monitor comes with a WQHD (3,440 x 1,440) resolution VA panel, offering 300 nits of brightness, a wide viewing angle, and 99 percent coverage of the sRGB color gamut.
A Productivity Powerhouse
The 34SR65QC is an ideal solution for office workers, developers, and other digital professionals seeking improved workflow. The 21:9 ultrawide display allows users to manage multiple tabs and windows simultaneously, thanks to the built-in screen split function. Additionally, the monitor supports various home-office applications, enabling users to access mail, online document editors, and cloud storage directly on the monitor without the need for a PC or laptop.
The extra width of the 34SR65QC facilitates the use of productivity apps in full screen (16:9) mode, while still having sufficient space for generative AI tools, which can be conveniently pinned to the right-hand part of the display.
Immersive Entertainment Experience
For those seeking a movie theater-like experience at home, the 34SR65QC does not disappoint. The ultrawide display supports 21:9 content, eliminating the need for letter-boxing and providing a cinematic feel. This model is the first in the LG MyView lineup to allow streaming of video captured in the 21:9 format, delivering an immersive viewing experience.
Equipped with the LG webOS platform, users can access a variety of content services, including Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video. Additionally, LG Channels offers over 300 free premium channels spanning movies, news, sports, drama, and children’s programming. With AirPlay 2 and Screen Share support, users can stream or mirror content from their smartphones directly to the monitor.
Enhanced Usability and Convenience
The 34SR65QC comes with a handy remote for basic functions and is compatible with the LG Magic Remote, which offers features such as AI concierge and one-touch access to popular streaming services. The AI concierge provides personalized content recommendations based on viewing history, while the LG ThinQ app transforms smartphones into a remote with touch- and voice-control capabilities.
The LG MyView Smart Monitor is set to launch globally, starting in the U.S and Korea in August, with availability in other markets to follow. According to YS Lee, Vice President and Head of the IT Business Unit at LG Business Solutions Company, “By expanding the LG MyView Smart Monitor lineup with our new 34-inch curved ultrawide model, we are providing consumers with a comprehensive productivity and entertainment solution.”
