Introduction to the New HAPs and Zebu Systems

Synopsys has announced the expansion of its renowned hardware-assisted verification (HAV) portfolio, introducing state-of-the-art HAPs prototyping and Zebu emulation systems powered by the latest AMD Versal Premium VP1902 Adaptive SoC. This advancement signifies a formidable leap in runtime performance, compile time, and debug productivity, making it a pivotal solution for the ever-evolving demands of hardware and software verification.

Key Features and Improvements

The next-generation HAPs-200 prototyping and Zebu-200 emulation systems are constructed on innovative Synopsys emulation and prototyping (EP-ready) hardware. These systems enhance customer return on investment by facilitating versatile emulation and prototyping use cases through efficient reconfiguration and optimized software. Furthermore, the Zebu Server 5 has been upgraded to handle more than 60 billion gates (BG), addressing the increasing complexity in SoC and multi-die designs.

The Growing Need for Advanced Verification Solutions

As industries approach hundreds of billions of gates per chip and hundreds of millions of lines of software code, the challenge of verifying advanced designs has never been greater. Ravi Subramanian, Chief Product Management Officer at Synopsys, emphasizes the importance of these enhancements, noting that they cater to the nuances of SoC and multi-die solutions. With a focus on scalability and space optimization in data centers, the new systems are poised to be widely adopted by industry leaders for silicon-to-system verification and validation.
