AMD Confirms Pricing and Availability for New Ryzen 9000 ‘Granite Ridge’ Processors

AMD has officially announced detailed information regarding the pricing and availability of its much-anticipated Ryzen 9000 ‘Granite Ridge’ desktop processor models. These processors, initially slated for release on July 31, faced a delay and will now undergo a staggered launch.

Release Schedule Confirmed

The staggered launch of the Ryzen 9000 series is set to occur in August 2024. The 8-core Ryzen 7 9700X and the 6-core Ryzen 5 9600X will be available on August 8, 2024. This will be followed by the flagship models, the 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X and the 12-core Ryzen 9 9900X, which will be released on August 15, 2024.

Pricing Details

AMD also confirmed the pricing for the new chips in USD. The Ryzen 9 9950X is priced at $650, while the Ryzen 9 9900X will cost $500. Mid-range models, the Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X, are priced at $360 and $280, respectively. These prices are modestly lower than those of their predecessors, namely the Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7700X, and Ryzen 5 7600X, which launched at $700, $550, $400, and $300, respectively.
