As we’ve seen, graphics cards are getting bigger and bigger, especially at the top end of the market. However, in this race, it’s Zotac China that has the biggest, with a 38 cm-long RTX 4090D!
With this graphics card, Zotac is offering us a disproportionately long card, measuring 38.1 cm in length. It’s also very thick, with three slots high up.
The cooling system is consequently substantial, relying on a steam chamber in direct contact with the GPU and memory. What’s more, we have a trio of 11 cm-diameter fans!
Overclocking potential is disappointing. Admittedly, by default, no RTX 4090D is sold with factory overclocking, however, by using third-party software, OC is possible. Nevertheless, our Asian colleagues have only managed to increase the frequency by 240 MHz (2520 MHz by default), compared with 50 MHz for the memory.
Admittedly, the heatsink is efficient, but if you’re looking for a card with low overclocking potential, you might as well go for a more affordable model!
