Albion Online’s move to seasonal updates continues, with the next update on the way, Foundations, revealed, with new features like Fortfications, and more to come.
Game Director Robin Henkys introduces what’s coming in Foundations in an official devtalk video, as well as a new blog. In the first season, Crystal Raiders, 2024 started off with a bang, with Territory Raiding taking center stage.
Fortifications will allow guilds to build up fortified walls in territories to increase defense against attackers. Over time, you’ll be able to upgrade and build higher tiers of Fortifications using stone, which are stronger and will be harder to break.
Upgrading fortifications with stone gives a boost to the stone economy. when you want to upgrade them, you will not be able to upgrade the whole fortification in one shot so you’ll have to make strategic decisions on what is more important to upgrade now.
The Foundations update will also bring more new content, including the next Crystal Weapons, and the addition of spectator mode. More improvements to existing features are also on the way.
