The JRPG also has official support for Valve’s Steam Deck, launching with the Steam Deck Verified badge. The reimagining of one of the best Persona games ever made is now out, hitting all platforms with a revamped battle system, upgraded visuals, all new English voice acting and much more. Persona 3 Reload also improves its performance over the original release, getting a smooth 60fps refresh at 4K resolution.
It should be noted that Persona 3 Reload is a remake of the original Persona 3, so many of the improvements made in Persona 3 Portable, namely the ability to play as either a male or female protagonist. In Reload, you’re limited to just the male protagonist for your adventure.
Persona 3 Reload also brings changes to how the social stats work, one of the more defining features of the Persona franchise, which gives more time to actually max out a social link in this entry versus others. Tartarus also has seen improvements, but one of the biggest changes is in battle. In the original Persona 3, you could only control the protagonist, but in Persona 3 Reload, you’ll control the whole party, complete with improvements straight out of Persona 5’s battle system.
