This model is a processor with a total of 8 cores and 16 threads. In terms of frequency, it operates at a basic 3 GHz, with a boost to 4.1 GHz. It supports dual-channel DDR4 memory at 3200 MT/s, while its TDP reaches 105W. It boasts 64 kB of L1/core cache, 512 kB of L2/core cache and an extended L3 of 96 MB, thanks to 3D V-Cache.
The CPU was run through a fairly limited panel of games, eight in all. This included games such as Fearless Contract, CS:GO 2, Eternal Calamity, PUBG, Big Cousin, Cyberpunk 2077 and Forza Horizon 5.
The Intel CPU proved slower than its AMD rival by 33.3% on Fearless Contract, 25% on CS:GO 2 and 22% on PUBG. In contrast, it is 15% faster on Big Cousin, 5.6% faster on Eternal Calamity and 4.8% faster on Cyberpunk 2077. It’s a draw on Forza Horizon 5.
We don’t know what testing protocol is in place behind it. How was the Intel CPU configured? What power consumption limit, etc.? It would be more reasonable to wait for more in-depth tests to get a better idea of this processor’s capabilities. What’s certain is that it offers a good basis for upgrading on socket AM4.
