The RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT are two mid-range cards from AMD. They were launched last August at prices of $499 and $449 respectively. However, with the customization of heatsinks and design by AMD’s partners, prices were positioned above MSRP. Specifically, the 7800 XT was priced at over $530 and the 7700 XT customs at around $470
With the launch of the RTX 40 Super, the original RTX 4070 has seen its MSRP readjusted. This was officially reduced from $599 to $549. However, some models are currently trading at $534, a major blow for AMD.
Prices are being adjusted downwards for RADEON cards, so there’s no choice if the various players want to sell them. In practical terms, this brings the price of the 7800 XT to AMD’s recommended retail price for Gigabyte’s Gaming OC model. As for the 7700 XT, some models are even below MSRP. Once again, the Gaming OC model stands out with a price of $439.99… While the other customs are priced at $449.99.
In terms of performance, these cards are designed for 1440p gaming, with full details. Note: that the 7800 easily outperforms the 4070, while the 7700 is positioned between the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4070.
