Hello everyone! What a week it has been! Our Roadcraft demo has been rolling out, and we are absolutely thrilled to see so many of you dive into the experience. Thousands of you have downloaded the demo, collectively traversing an astonishing distance of more than 2 billion km! That’s a lot of virtual roads!
Your Feedback Matters
We created this demo to give you a taste of what you can expect from the full game, and rest assured, we have so much more in store! As we eagerly read through your feedback, we want to address some of your most pressing points before we officially launch the game on May 20th. Yes, the elephant in the room: the absence of fuel consumption.
Why No Fuel Consumption?
We understand that fuel consumption is a crucial element in games like Snowrunner or Expeditions. However, Roadcraft is a new experience that pushes boundaries in the simulation genre. Developed on an advanced iteration of our engine, the technical specifications differ from our previous titles. Rather than focusing primarily on map exploration, Roadcraft emphasizes the art of rebuilding and reshaping terrain.
Initially, we had a fuel consumption system in place. Still, it proved tedious and didn’t add to the essence of the gameplay. However, don’t think we’re discarding the concept entirely! After hearing your thoughts, we may explore integrating fuel consumption in a new game mode down the line. Stay tuned for updates!
