Introducing the Maxsun Arc B580: A Graphics Card with a Twist

What’s New with the Maxsun Arc B580?

Maxsun has recently unveiled their custom-designed Arc B580 graphics card, and it’s turning heads for more than just performance. Unlike conventional graphics cards, this unique offering features two M.2 Gen 4 NVMe slots, allowing users to take advantage of the untapped 8 lanes from the x16 PEG interface. That’s right, you can now connect not one but two SSDs directly to your graphics card!

A Closer Look at the Design

Thanks to a leak on Chinese social media, we’ve got our first glimpse at the actual hardware. The B580 sports an 18 cm-long PCB with M.2 slots positioned at the tail end. Each slot is outfitted with a sleek aluminum heatsink that keeps those NVMe drives cool under pressure from the card’s additional fans. A recent report from Tom’s Hardware showcases this innovative design, confirming what we initially saw in renders.

Power Management Like Never Before

What’s more impressive is the power management system of the B580. It utilizes two 8-pin PCIe power connectors to maintain a power limit of 190W, while also catering for the peak power draw of each M.2 Gen 4 SSD, estimated at around 10W. With essential components, including the BMG-G21 ASIC and a robust 6-phase VRM, this card promises not just performance but efficiency as well.

While Asus had previously introduced the concept of M.2 slots on graphics cards with their Dual GeForce RTX 4060 Ti SSD OC, the Maxsun Arc B580 steps it up a notch. It’s an exciting time for gamers and tech enthusiasts alike, as innovation continues to push the boundaries of what graphics cards can do!
