This September, IFA Berlin will see a groundbreaking advancement in display technology with the introduction of Hannspree’s Ecovision Paper Display. This innovative technology promises to revolutionize how we interact with e-readers, computer monitors, and digital signage, offering unparalleled energy efficiency and user comfort. The Ecovision series, expected to release in late 2024 and early 2025, will be showcased at stand H27-P20 of IFA Next.

Introducing Hannspree Ecovision

Hannspree, a subsidiary of flat panel display manufacturer Hannstar, has been at the forefront of LCD technology since 2003. Their latest innovation, the Ecovision Paper Display, leverages ambient light reflection to minimize the need for internal light sources, achieving up to eighty percent energy savings compared to traditional LED-backlit panels. This ensures fast, full-color performance combined with advanced energy efficiency, setting a new standard for LCD technology.

Benefits for Personal Health and Well-being

In addition to its energy-saving capabilities, Ecovision technology is designed to promote personal health and well-being. The true 8-bit, non-FRC, flicker-free, and low blue light features help reduce eye strain, thereby improving focus during extended screen use. This is particularly beneficial for individuals looking to enhance cognitive stamina and productivity.

E-Readers

Hannspree’s next-generation e-readers, operating on Android 14, will feature the Ecovision Paper Display. The larger version includes a 10-inch display, 4000 mAh battery, 5 MP front and rear cameras, 4 GB RAM, and 128 GB ROM. The smaller variant has a 7.8-inch display, 3000 mAh battery, 5 MP front and 8 MP rear cameras, 4 GB RAM, and 64 GB ROM. Both models come with adjustable front lights for low-light conditions.

Monitors

Building on its twenty-year legacy, Hannspree will introduce a new series of eyecare monitors with the Ecovision Paper Display. The pure reflective monitor features a 23.8-inch display ideal for environments with lighting above 500 lux. The professional monitor offers the same size display but includes an adjustable backlight for low-light conditions.

Signage

Hannspree will reveal two new signage products at IFA 2024. The mobile sign, designed for portability, is equipped with a 23.8-inch Ecovision Paper Display, a 9600mAh battery, and an adjustable floor stand on wheels. The fixed mount sign features a larger, 28-inch display. Both models optimize ambient light reflection, making them perfect for outdoor use and indoor environments with at least 500 lux lighting.
